window shopping
A fashion blogger I follow was just saying, if you're feeling poor, there's always Old Navy.
Broke is an understatement for how I'm feeling. And, in my case, it's H&M that I lean on when I have no money but need some tee shirts with an edge. K bought me a pile of great things for my birthday at H&M and some brilliant purchases from there got me through last summer with a cast.
Today, when K goes off to archery, I'm going to walk around Ikea. Ikea works too.
There's a $3.99 set of vases I want.
I found them last night whilst perusing their 2016 catalog. I found a lot of interesting things....

I'm so drawn to shots like this. I love daybeds, and we have one, but I never get it just right. I've seen them used as couches and it looks so inviting to me. The reality is that they are often too deep to be successful as regular sofas. (I would also very much like to have a settee in my dining room in place of two or three chairs.)
You will have to believe me:
This looks exactly like my mother-in-law enjoying herself at a dinner party.

There is an ugly pedestal sink from the 80's in the downstairs bathroom. This would be a very nice replacement. You know, if I win the lottery.
Aren't these nice? I don't know why we need them, but they're nice. That's the whole point, isn't it?
Ditto this little basket.

These are what I want. I have a plan.
Middle missed a second desert hike yesterday. He was delayed at lunch and was riding with a legendary Lamborghini driver.
I was not disappointed.

There is a cool, casual, expensive vibe to IKEA stuff, isn't there?
I always find things I LOVE when I have no money and NOTHING I even like when I have money.
