So, the thing is, if you like Wes Anderson movies, then I don't even have to explain this to you.
If you don't know about Wes Anderson movies then I might say as the Wes Anderson oeuvre has progressed in a particular way, you might not be interested in this movie, as it is, sort of, the pinnacle of all that is Wes Anderson.
With its yellowing light and misunderstood children and secret affairs, Moonrise Kingdom is the next piece in the Wes Anderson puzzle, if you will.
It looks a lot like Fantastic Mr. Fox, without the animals.
And there's that left and right panning Wes Anderson does, and those sets that look like doll houses.
Big stars, quiet, thoughtful parts.
Worth seeing?
Yes, if you're ready for some Wes Anderson.
