you should see this, or: the internet is a vast and open space

Oh, it's been a week. Seriously, but only at my job. Things here are fine here at my house. (Though my K had not one but two gigs dangled in front of him only to have them both fall through) (light a candle! do a chant!)  We had a launch at my office and a party and it's poetry month (we celebrate Poetry Month) and April has been packed with activity which really won't end until April does and I've never been all that fond of April, so I'll be happy to see it go.

Anyway.

It is not possible to look at these photos without smiling.

This might take your breath away. It comes via our friend Paola! (Hi Paola!)

These? What about these?

Are you reading this? Seriously. You should be reading it.

I am still in love with the NY Times blog.

These?

Apartment Therapy votes (and explains the science behind) these as the most relaxing songs:

The Top 10 Most Relaxing Tunes:

1. Marconi Union - Weightless
2. Airstream - Electra
3. DJ Shah - Mellomaniac (Chill Out Mix)
4. Enya - Watermark
5. Coldplay - Strawberry Swing
6. Barcelona - Please Don't Go
7. All Saints - Pure Shores
8. Adele - Someone Like You
9. Mozart - Canzonetta Sull'aria
10. Cafe Del Mar - We Can Fly

Finally, for now anyway, here's the last line of my horoscope for April:
Along the way, throughout this month, perhaps the best news of all: a wish dear to you may come true, too, just when you were ready to give up. I saved the best for last, dear Cancer. Stay optimistic!

I'm waiting.

That Suri's Burn Book is awesome.

Every hotel in South Africa had Enya playing at breakfast. It seriously affected my enjoyment of the papaya juice and croissants. Perhaps it was a wake for the bacon?

I am chanting. Om Shanti Om.

We have Enya at hydrotherapy. Really we need The Eye of the Tiger, or something.

"Someone Like You" is relaxing? When I "relax," I don't want to throw myself off a bridge in despair.

For relaxing, try the soundtrack to "Last Temptation of Christ." Peter Gabriel. Good stuff.

Actually, dan the man, that is a list from the folks at Apartment Therapy. I haven't weighed in on what *I* think is relaxing, but I'm happy to have a listen to the Peter Gabriel.
(Though, I must admit that thinking of the soundtrack of that particular film does not exactly seem relaxing, per se.)

Love the wedding shots--the girlie and I both gasped audibly when the seafoam dress and succulent bouquet appeared----Wunnerful.

I remember my mom telling me to take a picture every day to watch the changes in the girlie. Glad someone documented the metamorphosis. Lotte is lovely.

I rely on you to remind me to check in with Suri every now and again.

And the Chelsea boots? YES. In both colors.
