the Indian spice market
K found this store and was excited for me to visit it.
He's been making his own hot sauces of late (we could use a gig for him, and I don't mean making sauces, if you have any connections) and has procured ingredients from far and wide.

Sauces.

Mustard.

Reductions.

Salts.

Honeys.
What did I spy in the market?

Bowls!

Poojah Powder.

Incense. Bought some.

Lunch tins. (I want one!)

Myrrah.

Gripe water!

Falooda!

the Three King's gifts in the middle of the summer.
I HATE when K is out of gigs.
And I love these shops. Do I really need to remind you that. You know it.
I loved gripe water as a kid.
happy weekend.
it is POURING RAIN here.
Poojah water - what Winnie drank??
And strangely enough, Mr. Buxom and I had lots of yummy Indian food last night. Palek Paneer, a wonderfully spicy dal with lots of cilantro, an assorted appetizer plate featuring samosas, basmati rice, and naan. An hour later, I could really have used some Gripe Water.
We have many Indian stores in the Boston area, but i just discovered a Middle-Eastern market about 3 blocks from my house that has GIANT cans of stuffed grape leaves. I cried tears of joy over the tahini, hummus, and fresly baked pita. I want to do all my shopping there.
I would be gripped by indecision.
I was once given some incense that smelt like funky spunk. It wasn't pretty.
