an important detail

I forgot one important detail in the story of my new grey hair (and many thanks for your wonderful comments).
When I first sat down in the salon chair The Hair Genius said: oh good, they've put on my mix, and the first song we heard was one of my all-time favorites:

GAH! I love this song. Mind you, I adore George and won't hear a bad word about him.

This is very strange: because of that stupid Capitol One advert I've had this song rolling around in my head for weeks. When I tried to find out the origional release date for the album FAITH I ended up on a page that explained how the 1987 CD was being remastered and released. There was a contest on that page and I entered it and won a copy of the new CD (I really wanted the new iPod they were giving away but what the hell, I'm not complaining!)
This happened at the begining of February and I totally forgot about it. This morning I got an email apologizing for the delay and assuring me that its in the mail, along with the new Black Eyed Peas CD also. Thanks for being a sport, it said! Like I said, I had totally and completely forgotten about it until this morning. Now this!
WTF? You in cahoots with these guys or what?

Is that Cristy Turlington?

OMG, the late 80s and early 90s! I was in my late teen/early 20s then, having all sorts of fun, and that song/video just brought back lots of marvelous memories. Thanks!
