Wellfleet

Sitting in my bed, listening to not-so-distant fireworks...we practically flew to Wellfleet! We got here so quickly that I couldn't believe we were really here (if that makes any sense).
We were too early to get into our house and had some yummy lunch in town. One lobster roll later it was time to unload, put everything away and then sit on the lawn with some cool white wine.

K's sister made chicken and broccoli and mac and cheese - and followed up with homemade peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

What could be better?

I ask you.

I NV U 2DAY. We were just talking about last year, spending this week on the Cape with the whole tribe. This year we are recovering from a storm, and providing some extra parenting, love, and support to one of our younger family units. We're in good health, we have our family and we are able to help them; we have good friends for sharing. Perhaps a fall trip for two when things settle out here. Enjoy yours, and share some photos!

Tres magnifique!

MM also went up 95 - near Mystic - and said no one was on the road.

And what a blessedly clear and sunny day today!

Sounds absolutely perfect. We just got back from 3 days at our side of the sea and I wish I was still there...
