I haven't read the blog OR the book, but the movie looks wonderful (and I did read My Life in France by Julia, and it looks like the movie touches on a lot of what was in THAT book, so yay).
I had never heard of the blog until I read the book, but I know I would have loved it. And now I've read the book twice and thought it was terrific both times.
I'm not so sure about this movie though. From what I saw in the trailer, it appears that Nora Ephron took liberties with the book, which always drives me crazy.
But, I love the fact that Jem's song "It's amazing" is in the trailer -- definitely my favorite from her new album.
I read the blog first, then the book, and frankly, the book is not well written. I had no desire to see the movie UNTIL - Meryl Streep as Julia Child! Must go!
It was my first blog too! I found her just as she was about to go off air. In my memory, my next blog was say la vee, but is that possible chronologically?
This is one I may even try to actually see in the theater, instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD. Although I'd still want to see the Special Features, as well.

Especially to see Meryl Streep play Julia Child.
But, I think I'll like the movie.
Didn't know there was a film either. Thank goodness for blogs, or I'd be totally uninformed about anything.
