Capulets and Montagues

Oldest has a new girlfriend.

Picture 4

The interesting factor is that she is the youngest daughter of our dearest friends.

Picture 2

They are inseparable.

Picture 1

He is stormy and emotional.

Picture 5

She is quiet and calm.

Picture 3

Each moment they are apart they whine and cringe. Or he does at least.
I speak with Mrs. Capulet every day and hear about the other side of it.

Mine is stormy and emotional. The old girlfriend was quiet and calm, but the new on is ALSO stormy and emotional. So we have whining, cringing, gnashing of teeth, punching of walls and the throwing of cell phones...
Oh my. This is intriguing indeed. The Romeo and Juliet imagery is interesting, but I do hope that things with Oldest and Ms. Calm go along a better route.
Here's the love story from our house. Cape Cod Kid and his sister, Sorority Girl, discovered that his new girlfriend used to date her old boyfriend....ewwww... 4 degrees of separation!

...the beginning of a love story, butterflies, longing, dreaminess...
if I concentrate hard, I think I remember it...

Young love is truly wondrous to behold. I hope the friendship between you and Mrs. Capulet can survive it. Or perhaps you will someday be related, who knows...

(I love the illustrations in this post.)

I tell my kids that they will marry who I choose because it's all about me picking my in-laws. If you can do holidays together it makes things much easier!

Here's to hoping it lasts.

Young love, indeed.
My youngest daughter just announced yesterday that she is engaged to her live in boyfriend. I couldn't be happier for the both of them. It reminds me of all the intense emotion associated with young love.
My oldest daughter is more like Scarlet at the barbecue (in GWTW) and has always had a line of suitors.
And today is my wedding anniversary...lots of thoughts going on in this head today.

This is the only way to love. Completely and totally immersed into it. I wish I could be like that every day. I loved the drama and the high of young love!
