About 10 years after I graduated HS, I went to a band competition where all the bands were playing Phantom of the Opera, and The Little Mermaid, and other such. Then my alma mater's band came out and played Alice Cooper's "School's Out". I was so proud.
My son quit playing the drums when he was 13. I was heart broken. I wanted him to be in the drumline (his school is too small for a marching band). I love marching bands and parades and marching band movies like DRUMLINE and THE MUSIC MAN. The black schools in Cleveland had the best.
Awesome. I am just trying to figure out how on earth the band director got his hands on an arrangement for a marching band. The dancers were cracking me up. Ah, high school.
