22 for friday

It's Oldest's birthday.
He's been very busy of late.
Doing demolition, building fences, digging ditches, when he gets home at night, dusty and sweaty, he's always smiling.
Right now he's enjoying:

The Eagles Of Death Metal
Motocross
Fresh caught Striped Bass
His dog, who has unconditionally loved him for 12 years
Ben and Jerry's Dublin Mudslide
John From Cincinnati

His meal of choice for tonight?
Papusas and empinadas from the bodega and angel food birthday cake.

He's on the road to adulthood, he's come a long way over the last year, and with the four of us behind him, he seems to be doing pretty well...

Happy birthday, Oldest! I'm glad he's in a good place now, in all senses of the word.

Oh, and I, too, am fond of the Eagles of Death Metal.
Happy, happy, happy to Oldest. More importantly, congrats to you and K, because your kids' birthdays are special anniversaries for you too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dear Oldest!
22 is a great year. A year of getting comfy in your own skin, of liking who you've become.
I like your food choices for the evening. And you can't beat angel food cake! I'll take mine with strawberries and cream, thanks!

Happy Birthday Oldest!
Today is a special day for me too.
My beloved nonna would have turned 100 today.
Enjoy your special meal (don't know what it is but being a great fan of ethnic food, I'm sur eit must be yummy).
Oh, and if you ever want to experoence some serious building and wrecking, come over! It would be a great experience for you.

21 days late? isn't that illegal!?!

And this - Papusas and empinadas from the bodega - I have absolutely no idea of what that means.

Perhaps I have already told you what my Aunt Betty, mother of 7, used to say. "It's not the 9th month that kills you. It's the 10th month."

Happy birthday to Oldest, for whom the future holds Good Things.
