home, safe and sound

How NICE are you all?
Really, I'm asking.
On a scale of one to ten, I'd say you are eleven of niceness.

Middle was nervous during the prep, woozy going under, made jokes in the recovery room and is currently doing his best godfather impersonation.

I am drinking pinot, K has picked up the vicodin and sushi awaits me.

Thank you all for your very much appreciated kind words and advice.

I'm off to see if we have frozen peas.

Oh, I'm really really relieved for all of you--but especially Middle.

You used the words pinot, sushi, and vicodin all in one sentence. Oh yaaa, my kind of sentence :) I would say things are definitely OK.

Glad to hear he made it through. Hope he continues to do well.

Oh, I'm so glad!
Yay, I'm so glad it's over and he's okay. Not that there was ever a concern he wouldn't be, but it's still nice to know.

Hope the pinot, sushi, and vicodin are good to you. Oh wait, is the vicodin for Middle?

And this, too, passed.

It always does.

You'll sleep "deep in the mattress" tonight.

And that's a very good way to sleep.

well how long DID it take? :)

(really, I am curious. I took a friend to his last month and it was all of 20 minutes. I don't remember mine being that short, but eh, I was under drugs.)

Welcome back home Middle!

pinot is the answer to so many things. So pleased it all went well and is over and done with. Funny, because frozen peas are getting a work out in this house too, just on a different body part(s).

So glad to hear Middle is doing well. Hope you don't mind, but I drew on the vibes from all the good wishes posted on this board. My niece, who is the same age as Middle, received a pacemaker this week, on Monday. She's home already and recuperating. I really do think there is something to be said for the power of prayer/positivity/good thoughts, etc.

Again, so glad all is well!

Are his cheeks puffy today? I guess it's a little early to wake him up and see. Evangeline swelled up and looked like a little hamster.

CO - it took about 45 minutes for the actual surgery.

Kim - last night he had peas on one side and corn on the other.

Saorise - we'll hold her in our thoughts...

Miz S - his normally chiseled cheekbones are just a little rounder today. He slept with ice bags most of the night and I've been slipping arnica under his tongue.
