sunday
My garden looks much better. I put the pansies in the window boxes (they will be replaced when the weather gets really warm, and I cleaned out the bed. The clematis has lots of new shoots (I'll never cut it back again, Martha) and K moved the day lilies.
I don't like day lilies - too orange for me (they might actually be tiger lilies). The garden is purple and blue and white. I have a tendency to ignore the facts about my garden (mostly shade, too wet) and plant what I like and see how it does (usually not well).
K built a stone wall near the driveway, where the mud runs down to block the garage door. He put the lilies there.
I raked the front lawn and the gravel to clean it up.
K moved a huge burning bush and a butterfly bush from spots where they were shoved years ago so that the contractors wouldn't kill them to a spot in front of the fence, so I don't have to see it.
There is a mockingbird singing it's heart out in the back yard right now. It is singing with all its might - like a car alarm being ignored in a parking lot.
I'm wearing a skirt to church. WITH NO TIGHTS.

I have today set aside to do yard tidying. Many plants... lots of weeds and grass where it shouldn't be.
Big step forward, I guess.
I amhappy fo ryou, having heard of the terrible floods and yukky weather you suffered...
We had a mockingbird who tried dutifully to chase every other living eing out of HIS yard one Spring. We named him...
"The Landlord".
