a post for my lurkers

Annagrace has the cutest baby ever!
Thank you Annagrace for finding me funny - to think, she found me because she's into BIRDS.

Celestial Opus is feeling bitter - but I know better. She's actually very nice. It's an act.

Fox&b are into pups, which is perfect practice for a baby. I look forward to baby news. SOME DAY.

Irene and I are living parallel lives. Her husband is damn cute too.

Robiewankenobie and I need to go out DRINKING.

Note to Shellykang: Middle adores his video class and says he fessed up about K a while ago. Maybe that's why he gets all A's?

Happy trawling Moe! I'm even better in the archives.

Ann(fchen), it's always nice to hear from you...

Ssheers is just shy.

Kirsten: five dollars ransom is all I need.

Who has the cutest over-the-shoulder smile? JEAN.

Jlj: WOOT! any friend of Dan's is a friend of mine.

Anonymous - imagine: you, me and Nora in the same room. IMAGINE.

Hi, Rebecca, it's good to hear from you...

Mckie2 or Susan in Austin or anon E mouse, you don't have to be a lurker, or a peeping tom. You can be a little bird who flits in in the morning to see what's going on. Yep. That'll be you.

Miz S, who is not a lurker: Badger should at least be first - and we all know that Dooce's husband is kind of cute, if nothing else...

To Tracy who likes it when I post more than once a day: I had NO idea. Sometimes I have SO much to say.

Hi Sarah O. Nice to see you again, miss retro-pants.

Hello, Anon, don't you miss the original Fluid Pudding? I do...

BB! (she's big BB, I am little bb - though she's no bigger than me, it's that she came first) I adore you too (she's MET ME and STAYED IN A HOTEL WITH ME, IN A FOREIGN LAND).

Hi Sarah Louise! I'm so glad you are doing show and tell...

Another Anon, through Emlyn, who appreciates cheap wine and medication - we could definitely go out FOR A DRINK -

Cheers Neesja! you did very well - and you sound brilliant.

Hello Sharon. Yes, that is one less kitten I'll drown this weekend. All thanks to you.

Katy: the Chai is from Teavana, which has stores as well as a web site. And I still love it.

Hello sweet PILL...it's so sad that you are so far far away.

Hello Jill. Thank you for coming forward, it's nice to hear from you.

Whenever I see Kimblagh's name I have to say, out loud, KIMBLAAAAAAAGH. And I have to stick my tongue out...

Evemarybd provides us with a bit of mystery herself - found me six months ago, stopped blogging 6 weeks ago due to husband-interruptus. Do I know you evemarybd? Because I think I know you. Are you brilliant and witty? And a little bawdy? (oh I hope evemary writes back)

Hello Kim dear - I hope all is well. I like your blathering very much.

A reader in stormy Scotland? Tut-tut...

Oh! Birchsprite, I know you, you read through a service like bloglines (but it isn't bloglines) -
I'm happy to meet you.

Good morning Sneakypeek!

Jellis: you are officially de-lurked, HI!

The thing is, I have hundreds and hundreds of lurkers.
And I don't often think about it, but sometimes it just occurs to me that all these people read here and I have no idea who they are.
So.
It's nice to meet those of you who have been brave and said hello, and it's nice to have you here.

Now I am off to see if those new names lead to some fun reading...

Oh! The original Fluid Pudding! It will be back in less than a month. Who knew it would actually be missed? (I? Did not.)

Color me delurked--which is an incredible blend of purple and orange.

Blackbird? You have The Best readers/friends.

It is bloglines....but how did you know? And Hello back of course!

I have a site meter that shows me where, when and how people read here -
but not really WHO.
The bloglines readers data says who they are...

I can't believe you said "woot". Are you even ALLOWED to say "woot"? I'm going to have to consult my Robert's Rules of Order.

I have a secret fear that most of my lurkers view me as a magnificent train wreck but that they were raised correctly and thus can't bring themselves to tell me so.

badger don't look.

Woot! I can now say I've been written about in a blog! I do belive I can die happy now. You are slowly sucking away my bitterness bb, and I'm not sure what to do about it.

It's all so clever this webby stuff.

You do seem to have a lovely collection of readers/commentors too!

Okay, okay....hello, my name is Kel and I am a lurker. I read your blog every day, sometimes twice a day. I may need an intervention.

i think Joke is responsible for the big B/little b thing - now i have to go see if some of these "new" bloggers are fun : ) off I go....

oh, also, i would just like to say that the cooler was NOT for your kidney, bb. I maintain that!

Delurking just to say "Hi" and tell you that I want to live at hour cozy house. Oh, and also, I miss "Fluid Pudding" as well!
Anonymous said…
Ooops! That should be "your" not "hour." That's what happens when you try to comment at work!

I love it when you post twice, too. It's like a little afternoon surprise! But obviously, I missed this one.

Your ransom note looks cool!

Okay, it is true, I lurked. Got connected to your site looking for a pic of Kate Spade, have come back, almost, everyday since. It's all really just lovely. Now I've started writing, you're welcome to look at my college ramblings if you wish. You'll see how many mimosas I drink and how I believe that a trip to anthropologie can cure any bad day. Here, here, to not lurking!

I'm not a lurker but just stopping by to say hello...

and I thought I commented on your date nut bread/xanax post but it kicks me out so much (with the signing in) that sometimes I just give up.

anyway, hello and please fed ex some of those aforementioned items to our hotel in New Hampshire where I'll be staying with 15 nine year old boys and their families.

i've been transformed into a lurky lurker ever since i switched to New Blogger-- all that signing in and out of different google accounts makes me tired. but look! here i am! leaving a comment and everything!

Was I not on that list? And if not, why not? Because sometimes I lurk, too, you know. I don't ALWAYS have this huge urge to comment my ass off. Just most of the time.

i'm with poppy :)

love you, bb, you're always a nice bit of urbane loveliness in my day.

i'm wondering tho, do you ever YELL? in my mind you don't.

i admit it, i have been lurking for the last few days. but i also have hassles with the logging in and out (and here i thought it was just ME).

i visit via everyone else's links....SL seems to know everyone cool :-)

Hi there! We've met before, but I am happy to say hello again.

I come back here for your excellent blend of style and humor. Also? You make me want to have a teenage boy, so perhaps you have superpowers.

There's no reason at all to lurk in this blog, people. BlackBird is aces in the niceness category (and cute too!)

Brilliant [nope], witty [would love to be but again don't think so], [bawdy - that could be me]....I know Im so self effacing.....okay, okay it probably is who you think it is...So I may return to blogging some time soon with a new blog but this time a bit wiser to lurking husband....

I don't know about fun reading on your end, but from my end, I love what I read here. Make sense? :0)
Take care!

I missed the shout out. :( We've e-mailed before when I posted to you once but I don't know if you still read my blog. I enjoy reading yours. I get a lot of inspiration from your posts and I love it when you do a wine review.

Okay, I am delurking. I have officially commented before (maybe once). So here I am. I love reading your insights and seeing your very interesting photos. Keep it up!
Anonymous said…
hello. I adore the clean look and feel of your blog and writing. I don't watch survivor, but I love your synopsis. I'll keep reading, and maybe I'll even comment again someday.

Delurking to say hi ~ I have an oldest, a middle and a youngest too!
Anonymous said…
Delurking a little late... I visit on a near-daily basis and really enjoy your writing and pics. I have an oldest (20) and youngest (11), but no middle. I found you quite a while ago, through Sue's Kitchen in Brabant, I think. Thanks for many enjoyable reads!

I can't believe how late to the damn party I am! I dunno, this last week has been a blur. Anyhoo - I am enjoying reading your comments more than I enjoy many blogs!
