my sweet PILL

(that's platonic internet lesbian lover)

Suse addressed de-lurking week in a fun way -
she opened the floor to questions.

Is there anything you want to ask me?

What do you think of the comeback of fingerless gloves? I can't decided what I think of them.

Since I'm asked, I'm still too chicken to "delurk" but I've always wanted to ask you something and I've tried articulating it a few times, although it came out wrong (#itchy, if you must know) and I don't really mean it that way.

First off, I found you when I was doing a search for something almost 6 months ago (can't remember what it was) and have been a faithful reader ever since. I love your writing style and your pictures and observations are exquisitive.

Here's the thing: I'm a bit jealous!!! (o.k., more than a bit) I'm divorced with one son and work an enormous amount of hours a week. I just don't feel like there is enough TIME to do anything and only got 4 days off for the holidays.

Reading your blog sometimes makes me envious of the time that you do have, even though you sound like an incredibly busy person with all sorts of concerns.

See? Why am I even writing this? It DOES sound "you know what" and I really don't mean it to be.

It's a mini confession.

So, my question: when you were worried about K losing his job and the impact this would have, did you ever think of going to work?

Again, please don't take offense and if you do, then just delete this and accept my apologies!!!

I have one: When are you coming to Austin to go shopping and drinking with me? Huh? WHEN?

Wait, was that three questions?

Here's my question: How can you possibly view "The English Patient" as hours of your life you're not getting back. Crispy or not, Ralph Fiennes is my imaginary boyfriend.

Which leads to another question: Do you have an imaginary boyfriend?

I would like to ask you to forgive me for lurking for so long without commenting.

I have two:

If you could be invisible for one whole day, what would you do?

If you could invent a holiday, what would it be and what would people do in order to celebrate it?

I agree with Mary--Mr. Fiennes. Lovely to look at.

this is for anonymous up there. i would wager that there are many of us who occasionally feel just a bit jealous of bb's life, so full of cool stuff and cool kids and a husband who actually seems to make the kind of living that allows for a bit of relaxed -- shall we say -- enjoyment of the finer things in life. but her's is not a life without heartache -- she is rich in positive attitude, above all! and i love basking in it.

First, THANKS for stopping by and visiting me.

I wasn't sure about the whole delurking thing, but I was THRILLED you came to visit.

My questions is ~

Do you ever wish you had a girl?

When are me and Schmutzie coming over for dinner? I think you'd find us vivacious.

And Canadian.

Oh. That is sort of like my question. Have you ever been to the west coast of Canada?

Hello! Here's a question:

If you were trapped on a deserted island for a week, what non- necessary (i.e. food, water, etc.) item would you be sure to have with you?

This one is carrying on from your post about your boys growing up. What would be your number one piece of advice/insight for parents getting close to dealing with teenage boyhood?

What a treat for us! First question, why don't you like your dog? The second, what has oldest been up to? From what you say about him he sounds a lot like my 22 year old son.
Thank you for doing this bb
