I'm wondering the comfort difference between fake and real ones because there's such a huge price difference.
I should have known. lol
The real ones are only thirty bucks, it's worth it. Because you can guarantee the real ones are really the antimicrobial stuff so they don't smell or sweat.
I need a green pair, I think. your aqua ones are really cute, though...
Reminds me a favorite single-frame cartoon, which depicts a doctor telling his lady patient "I'm all out of birth control pills. So, here, put on these Birkenstocks.".
It's only fitting that my verification word starts out with "fug", which of course is sort for "fugly" ;-)
It is an epidemic I tell ya, good thing I am immune.
I might be willing to get some fakes for the girl child, though.
The guy who invented those plantar faciitis causing crocs lived next door to my best friend. He was GIVING THEM AWAY not too terribly long ago, so we were wearing the beta versions. Yes, I loved them. Wore them 365 days a year if I was out of bed. Now? Nevah. I wore them way past their breakdown point (they get 'flat') and got plantar faciitis. It has taken me 2 years to stop having that awful pain.
So, as a formerly addicted croc wearer, may I just say buy the real Crocs and replace them often. But I swear-Crocs are just the training bra for the Real Daily Shoe - the Keen!
YES! The best shoe for your foot, ever. Butt-ugly but beautiful. The Keen.
In a few years every one will be remembering and laughing about these monstrosities, ever so slowly decomposing in a neon coloured landfill somewhere.
I'm with Vickee - Keens all the way.
They are the ideal beach shoe.
Love the Manolo but he doesn't understand modern casual casual.
On "our" shopping list: Crocs boots. Yes.
jennifer - there are huge fluctuations in the prices...but I have not seen the cheaper ones so I cannot say how they are.
BB - I didn't know!
Carol - someone should tell Jon...we could start a little club.
I did buy them for the beach - though I can sometimes be spotted with them on the back of a certain scooter!
Went form Birkie professionals (each weighs about 3 pounds) to crocs (weighs oh .5 of an ounce maybe)
L-O-V-E them. People stop me everywhere to ask about them.
Currently own
Green
Hot pink
Red
Desire
Black
Orange
I sadly find myself rejecting wearing certain pants I own because I don't have crocs to match. It's THAT BAD.
they do look comfy, though. and who am i to talk--i just got my second pair of danskos. in PATENT LEATHER. kickass.
I did have a plastic shoe phase back in the 80s, if that counts for anything.
I googled crocs. and what did I find out! That they have more then one kind of shoe! Nile, beach and metro!
I really like the nile :) Now if I can find me a pair of those, I might give them a try :)
