are they comfy? do your feet sweat in them or do all of those holes preclude that? the colors are cute, but beside that, i'm still looking for the redeeming quality(ies) of the croc.

Those amazing candy colours! I've only seen black, red, navy and purple here. Maybe this summer...

Such a craze these Crocs. I've seen them EVERYWHERE! Infact my cousin just bought a pair of "fake ones" yesterday for $8.00.

I'm wondering the comfort difference between fake and real ones because there's such a huge price difference.

Aren't they great? Mine are orange. Looks like you have one of the newer colors.

I should have known. lol

Hey! Where are my feet in that list of Crocs pics? Humph. I feel left out.

The real ones are only thirty bucks, it's worth it. Because you can guarantee the real ones are really the antimicrobial stuff so they don't smell or sweat.

I need a green pair, I think. your aqua ones are really cute, though...

They look like Beach Birkenstocks.

These boots were made for walkin' ............ quickly away from anyone spotted wearing these ugly monstrosities!

Reminds me a favorite single-frame cartoon, which depicts a doctor telling his lady patient "I'm all out of birth control pills. So, here, put on these Birkenstocks.".

It's only fitting that my verification word starts out with "fug", which of course is sort for "fugly" ;-)

I don't get them...someone explain. They look like operating room clogs.

Hee hee! Funny post. Count me in too. I just got a pair yesterday.

Oh no, not you too!?

It is an epidemic I tell ya, good thing I am immune.

I'm glad to see someone standing up for crocs. They've been much maligned as of late. Mine are blue.

Oof. Never in a MILLION years.

I might be willing to get some fakes for the girl child, though.

Oh Pshaw...
The guy who invented those plantar faciitis causing crocs lived next door to my best friend. He was GIVING THEM AWAY not too terribly long ago, so we were wearing the beta versions. Yes, I loved them. Wore them 365 days a year if I was out of bed. Now? Nevah. I wore them way past their breakdown point (they get 'flat') and got plantar faciitis. It has taken me 2 years to stop having that awful pain.
So, as a formerly addicted croc wearer, may I just say buy the real Crocs and replace them often. But I swear-Crocs are just the training bra for the Real Daily Shoe - the Keen!
YES! The best shoe for your foot, ever. Butt-ugly but beautiful. The Keen.

Can't help it, I'm a flip-flop girl. I feel clausterphobic just looking at those shoes. But the colors are nice.
Elizabeth said…
You didn't!
In a few years every one will be remembering and laughing about these monstrosities, ever so slowly decomposing in a neon coloured landfill somewhere.
I'm with Vickee - Keens all the way.

Know what rules? Croc flip flops. Stupid expensive, but worth it for the comfort factor. I wore them all day, then slid on some regular old Old Nave flip flops, and there was a HUGE difference. I ain't never goin' back, I tells ya!

I've always wondered if they make your feet smell. I thought about getting a pair but now that's all I see so I think I will swim against the tide;). I like my Dr.Scholl's with the wooden soles.

Crocs. Rule.
They are the ideal beach shoe.
Love the Manolo but he doesn't understand modern casual casual.
On "our" shopping list: Crocs boots. Yes.

ann - they are comfy, and my feet are not sweating in them (as opposed to my Anywears which are VERY hot on the feet).

jennifer - there are huge fluctuations in the prices...but I have not seen the cheaper ones so I cannot say how they are.

BB - I didn't know!

Carol - someone should tell Jon...we could start a little club.

I did buy them for the beach - though I can sometimes be spotted with them on the back of a certain scooter!

Hey, there are my purple feet! As a matter of fact, I have them on right now. I wear them around the house more often than my slippers. My daughter still throws a fit when I wear them in public, but I just adore them!
Anonymous said…
Oh yea! On my feet 8 - 10 hours a day. Croc-a-holic.
Went form Birkie professionals (each weighs about 3 pounds) to crocs (weighs oh .5 of an ounce maybe)
L-O-V-E them. People stop me everywhere to ask about them.

Currently own
Green
Hot pink
Red

Desire
Black
Orange

I sadly find myself rejecting wearing certain pants I own because I don't have crocs to match. It's THAT BAD.

I had no idea my feet would be featured so far away from home.I almost feel famous. I am still lovin my crocs and they do flip flops I have been advised by another wearer. Glad you like them.

noooooo! it burns!

they do look comfy, though. and who am i to talk--i just got my second pair of danskos. in PATENT LEATHER. kickass.
Anonymous said…
Oh, boy. Really not so much with the crocs.

I did have a plastic shoe phase back in the 80s, if that counts for anything.
Anonymous said…
That was me! Not anonymous! Stupid blogger won't open up when I click the "other" button.

How do I love crocs? Let me count the ways.....LOL

I have a pair of lime green ones that I love, but I only wear them to births :-).
Jennifer said…
Okay after googling "anywears" "keens" and "danskos"

I googled crocs. and what did I find out! That they have more then one kind of shoe! Nile, beach and metro!

I really like the nile :) Now if I can find me a pair of those, I might give them a try :)

You people should all try the good old wooden ones. Very comfortable. But I admit, I don't wear them eather. Teva flip flops here.

OMG, crocs are the worst thing in the entire world. Seriously buy a pair of real shoes. People whose feet get sucked into escalators for wearing those deserve it.
