thursday, right after breakfast

1015am

1016am

1020

...and then again, after lunch and a nap -

oh look, a storm

can you see it coming?

rain on the sea

We sat at the beach at the end of our street. Youngest played in the sand, built a village. K swam with his mask and snorkel (the older boys were out with the record empressario) and I watched the clouds.
I watched the clouds dump rain on the sea and come closer and closer and closer, until the rain was inches from us.
And then it hit.
Hard.
Sideways falling rain.
We walked home in it.
Laughing.

it's me.

it does take your breath away...
you just cannot believe it's real, even when you are standing in it.

Something so poignant about that first shot -- a young boy's shoulders.

It looks like paradise there...

It makes me very happy places like this exist outside my dreams.

I would like to be there, right now. Alone. I'm insanely jealous of you, just so you know (and I'm not alone, it seems, which is nice).

The sand looks so smooth and almost silky. And the colors of the water, wow!
Glad to see you're having a beautiful vacation. And I agree with amy a., you've got great shots worth framing.

I love the whiteness of the sand.

And the blackness of your bathers.
