what's going on
Everything and nothing.
I am workingworkingworking (it is always busy in the fall at my office) and loving the cooler weather.
The boys and I challenged K to soup dinners for a week and he pulled it off beautifully. We had minestrone and pea soup with ham and this amazing Posole.
This past weekend I enlisted Middle to do the food shopping with me.
As a reward for his Saturday morning, I bought him a book.
I need to do some research. It's quite something, this book.
If you click on the photo above, there are more pictures of it on my flickr page - it's amazing.
I'm rarely on facebook, don't bother to look for an update, but I did click over there one day last week and ended up like this.
And, speaking of animals, have you seen these books? I bought both and read them to the boys. I did!
They're very much the boys sense of humor.
Middle contributes this link for this week. Fascinating.
You know, I love Refinery29, truly. I'm hoping it isn't written for 29 year-olds, now that I've said that, but I cannot abide by this kind of thing -

Tracy Anderson has five or six simple exercises that promise to make me fit. Or kill me.
You know who else has big plans for me? Jeep.
The lease for our Jeep is expiring and they don't make it anymore. Jeep wants me to lease another model.
But WHY must it be so UGLY?
We will, I think, look at the Patriot (such a stupid name!) as they are practically offering to GIVE it to me.
Hello? Madewell?
Don't make your models pose like this. It's ridiculous and does not make me want to buy that sweater on the right.
I'm doing a clip-board project in my office.
If you're good I'll take pictures.
(Don't ask me what being "good" entails.)

A Patriot, huh? I don't think I could actually get behind the wheel of one without feeling self-conscious. Maybe it's my suspicious mind, but if they're practically giving it to you, there might be a reason...
I need 3 great MEATLESS soup recipes. God that looks good!
I managed to total my beloved Mitsubishi Montero. I really wanted another SUV until I drove the Jeep Compass. I didn't think I would like a crossover but 2 weeks in and I'm surprisingly happy with it. I just wish it didn't look like a Honda CRV.
New job tomorrow - I posted about the going away stuff.
