Friday/Saturday

We had hoped to see the Rain Room at MOMA but there was a three hour wait. So, true to form, Youngest and I went shopping.
We got some staples for him from Uniqlo - socks, underwear, tee shirts.
We had taken a taxi uptown, highly unusual for us, and then we took the bus back downtown. Youngest and I have never been on a city bus together. We saw a wo/man in dress and heels with a pretty full beard. She got on outside Lord and Taylor. Neither of us looked twice, I just realized.
We had lunch after that, at Melt Shop, with strawberry lemonades. It was pretty swell.

We had tater tots too.

On the way, we passed this place, where I'll have to bring Middle.

 Untitled

Middle is a fan of both bourbon and food.

We went back to his school to pick up Youngest's backpack and see the junior/senior exhibit.

And we spotted some of Middle and Oldest's friends outside!

Monday is his last day as a freshman.
He gave me permission to post these photos...he's been working on this project for a whole school year.

 Amazing.

There's always space on his desk for his computer.
And, just so you don't think he's unique in my household -

the kitchen was a mess this morning (clean now! floor too!).

And the living room has the equipment from two different shoots.

We've been busy, but I think things are about to settle down.
Youngest did not get the internship he was hoping for so, after a little break, he'll need to figure something out for this summer.
He's going to an end-of-semester party tonight.
Middle and Oldest are attending and shooting a concert.
K and I will be home alone, so it's good I cleaned the kitchen.

OMG, The Rain Room sounds DIVINE! This is the sort of thing (along with another thousand or 2) that makes me ADORE The City. Yes, I have the sea and yes the sun is brighter and warmer but what can I tell you ... if you didn't post this I wouldn't even know about it, unless CNN online would write about it, as that's my reading in the morning (when I can!).
Anyhoo, just divine, you must go back. For me!
Melt made me drool just a tiny bit.
The whole year project looks amazing, he really put effort in it! And you didn't have to post your dirty kitchen in order not to feel bad for posting those shots ... come on.
Tell Youngest he could come work here: helper on the beach WINK

A house with active people doing stuff gets messy. Unless they are all anal compulsive, which would mean (probably) that they are not creative. You are all definitely creative.

I DO NOT want to see pictures of people's beautiful homes. This is not what I come to the internet for. I come to see reaffirmation and chaos.
