another day
Today was particularly busy.
I put together a powerpoint (over the past week) and today was the big meeting at which it was shown.
It went well. It was one of those meetings where all 115 of us feel like we have a singular vision.
It is an extraordinary place, where I work, and this is probably because of my boss, the CEO.
It is an emotionally-driven company from the bottom all the way to the top. Not only do my co-workers feel tied to their work in a personal way but most of them love their jobs.
Like I said, extraordinary.

The survey-givers were in the station when I arrived, in their reflective vests.
I walked to the meeting past Youngest's school where the "chopsticks" are up to help people identify visually similar buildings.

I am tracking my footsteps each day with an ap called Moving.

I do lots of walking.

Today, after the meeting (a success! hooray!) I walked to another favorite store where I do mean to buy some things.

I love the collar on this shirt.

I love the weave of this sweater.

Stripes are the only pattern I'll wear.

It's funny, because I love this store too and it is, pretty much, the exact opposite of the store I posted about yesterday.

Stark and spare and clean and bright, there is almost nothing I wouldn't love to have from this store either.
The trick will be to shop in the time between the spring bonus and the tax bill.

I am smitten with this essential oil humidifier.
Back in the office, later in the afternoon, we had a whiskey tasting.

Two new co-workers get a taste of our atmosphere...congeniality in the conference room, poetry at the meetings, and parties at the end of long weeks.
I'm happy tomorrow is Friday.

I, too, am a big fan of the "opposite" shop. I'm sad we don't have a brick and mortar store here in the boonies of the west coast. They hardly have anything online, although I do order from them. I went to their store when I was in London and nearly fainted from happiness.
