notes from home

Little things to look at.

Epicness.

We had a quiet weekend. Re-arranged some things. De-dogged the house. Slept a little late (no dog to let out or feed) and celebrated Youngest's sixteenth birthday.
That's something, isn't it?
16.
He could drive - if he wanted to, and it seems like he was a little kid just a few months ago.
He gets stellar grades, amazing reports from his teachers and does brilliant graphic design work.
This summer, he will attend Art School a few blocks away from my office and I'm looking forward to walking downtown with him.
He's a great guy, our Youngest: a loyal friend, a loving brother and son and a fine young man.
Sixteen!

Happy birthday to Youngest! Sixteen, holy crap. I still think of him as 12! Other people's kids grow up so fast!

Happy birthday, Youngest!

OK, about the eating ice cream while on a roller coaster ... ARE THEY INSANE?

You just know that if that happened in America, someone would choke to death and sue.

Oh Happy birthday Youngest!
Sixteen is cool.

I would SO love to do that roller coaster ( I ADORE them) and the ice cream idea is plain ridiculously fun.

I am so glad I got a son in my gaggle of girls. There is just something about a boy growing into a man, isn't there?

Happy birthday to Youngest! I put up a post today to celebrate my #2 Son's 21st, which was yesterday. Since it was such a monumental b'day, the post has lots of photos. Unlike yours ::whine::

Love the Cheers commercials!

Happiest of Birthdays, Youngest! I wonder if you're in a hurry to start driving? And, as always, I'm curious about what's for dinner, and more importantly, dessert on this special day.

Happy Birthday to your boy!

It felt like just the other day my son had a really fun 16th bday party. And just the day before that, we had a really great 9th bday party...and then the week before that was a unique and busy 7th birthday party.
And now the next party...is his 18th. I'm so proud of him, but I'm so sad that it went so fast.

It sounds like you have raised a fine young man! Thank goodness for moms like you - we need more good men out there!
