I know a good post when I see one

Two truths and a lie:

1. I've never seen a single episode of Late Night With Conan O'Brien.

2. I've never eaten rice pudding, bread pudding or vanilla pudding.

3. A few years ago, I signed up to walk a night-shift at a Relay For Life (wherein teams walk around a track for 12 hours or so having collected money for a charity). It was part of a project my book club was doing. Not a single other team member showed up and I walked the entire 12 hours with a girlfriend I wrangled into it at the last moment.

OK - I will play.
I think you probably have eaten pudding at some point in your life. So, that is the lie.
Your's is harder than Badger's!

I think #3 might be the lie. I can't imagine that you would be part of a group that would ditch something so important as the Relay. If it IS the truth, I bet you never went back to that book club.

I think surely #2 is the lie. Surely.

I can see your being determined enough to do #3.

I've never #1, either.

You lie about the pudding. I'm certain of it.
I've never seen an episode of Late Night either.

Ew, no wonder you ditched that book club.

Bread pudding, when done properly, is essential to human existence.

Unless you have one of those texture issues...

Again, first two true. 3 is the lie. And I warn you, I won already.
Paola
i'll say that number 2 is the lie.

I'm voting with Paola.

Three might be the lie and it has so much information.

On the other hand, I think you've talked about Conan's hair before??? so that could be the lie.

On the other hand... No, wait. There is no other hand.

Two is the lie.

I say #2 is the lie.

How can you walk for 12 hours? The truth/lie context may be in the semantics of your word choice. If you walked for 12 hours, that would put you on course for being one of the Cherokee Indians on the Trail of Tears.

I know you've eaten chocolate pudding. Or I believe I remember that.

How do you know your mom didn't feed you rice pudding when you were just a wee tot? "Never" is a difficult claim to prove.

This is driving me nuts.

Hmm. This is a tough one.

I am absolutely willing to believe that #1 is true (because I haven't, either).

For #2, I can believe the rice pudding and vanilla, but bread pudding? I'm betting K could make a mean bread pudding if he put his mind to it. And if he made it, you would at least TRY it.

#3 just made me tired to think about.

No one can make it through life without ever eating vanilla pudding.

Pretty sure it's the first one, which surprisingly nobody else has suggested...

When I taught high school, I used to play this game with my students as an ice breaker. I was always horrible at detecting their lies (as well as making up my own) but I'm going to guess that #2 is the lie. I think the Conan thing is actually true. You say you've never seen a SINGLE episode. I think the truth is that you've seen MULTIPLE episodes. Okay, maybe I'm over-analyzing your words (and maybe that's why I'm so bad at this game).

BTW, that was me who deleted a comment. I changed my vote :)

I think #1 is the lie. I would find it impossible to believe you've never eaten puddings, and you do a bit of charity work that you mention fairly often. But Conan. Doesn't seem to be your sense of humor. Or mine. Or any adult over the age of 15.

That last one sounds true and I feel so badly for you and I'm sure you were having conversations in your head with each and every one of those ladies as you walked!

I hope #2 is the lie. I remember last year when you went to Chicago I recomended the rice pudding at the Drake. If you didn't try it you missed one of the great pleasures Chicago has to offer. Ridiculously expensive, incredibly delicious. NEVER deny yourself small luxuries. Although I do remember you saying you had bever had rice pudding before.
Damn, now I want some.

I'm voting #2 and #3 are true.

Wait. #1 and #3 are true.

Damn you guys.

#1 and #3 are true. Yep. I'm sticking with that.

I vote for 2 as the lie.

Surely #3 is the lie. If this happened "a few years ago" we would know about it.
