there's a new doctor in my House

I've seen a couple of early episodes of House recently and I have to say: I liked him better when he wasn't such a shit.
Gregory House has become more bitter as Hugh Laurie's paycheck has increased (did you know he makes over $300,000 per episode?) and I'm liking him less and less. Don't get me wrong, I still find him very attractive, but my head has been turned by another television doctor.

In Treatment

I'm not going to justify my crush on Gabriel Byrne by explaining that I found him attractive in The Usual Suspects or by imitating his sexy accent. Suffice to say, I've been carrying a torch for him since well before Hugh started limping.

Special television doctor fashion note: the shirt is UNtucked and worn with a sport jacket.

I really, really love this show. I can totally see why Laura's in love with him.

Mmmmmmmmm. I've loved him for 20 years now. I don't know how Ellen Barkin could have gone from him to Ron Perlman. Ugh.

Ditto on House. The character's gone from curiously amusing to just plain unpleasant.

As proof that I don't watch much TV, I'd never even HEARD of In Treatment( I had to look it up on IMDB). I just set up my TiVo to record the series.

Gabriel Byrne's pretty hot for an old guy!

You can see the full episodes on You Tube! I just heard him sit in for Steve Jones as DJ on indie 101.3 radio show, he was very soft spoken, and told lots of amusing anecdotes-apparently he and Steve Jones (former Sex Pistols guitarist) are friends, how that came to be, I have no idea! Last year we saw him driving his car down Laurel Canyon Bl. (In Los Angeles)

I could watch the Gabriel Byrne show IF I didn't have to sit through all the medical bits. It is a shame nobody has thought about bringing out an edited highlights version.

You know who I found really attractive in The Usual Suspects? Kevin Pollack. No shit. I can't explain it, either.

Hmm, we don't get Gabriel's show here.

I just watched that movie with him and Arnold and he was Satan.

He was very scary. He did malice very very well.

Dude, I've had the SERIOUS hots for Gabriel since the days of Miller's Crossing and when he played Lord Byron in "Gothic." Meow.

I first crushed on him in Excalibur. He's at his best when speaking Irish. Didn't he study Irish language and archeology at Dublin? Trying to remember why he was bumped from my to-do list.
