I watched all of Das Boot (DH loves that movie; he was a radio operator on a sub hunter plane when he was in the Naval Reserve) but had to walk out of Titanic halfway through, when the water started lapping up the corridor. My not-so-secret fear is of being trapped underwater.

Is this the list of the top 250 at iMDb? Great idea, may have to steal it myself. I love your comments.

Happy birthday to your mom!

I keep thinking about stealing this one, but it would take me at least four hours to do because I have trouble remembering the names of movies I've seen. I'd have to look them all up.
I totally agree with you about The Lord of the Ring movies.

I highly recommend Shawshank Redemption. It's about so much more than prison.

for the love of all that is beautiful in this world-watch Shawshank woman!! Watch it, I promise it will not dissapoint!

I did this meme not knowing the source of the list--I stole it from TX Poppet.

It seems so random--and skewed so modern--that I wonder whether its "movies most searched" or some such.

Happy Birthday Bb's mom!
But Bb, you can't expect me to read all that list, NOW!
I need MORE time...
I DO care...

Hey, I care! Also, your comment inspired me to revisit Eraserhead on Youtube. I need years to recover again. Now I remember why I hated that movie.

Mr. Lemony also loves Japanese and Chinese movies. He also loves Reservoir Dogs. I had to leave during the ear scene and I never went back.

Happy b-day to bb Mom!

Oh, bb... please watch Shawshank. It's truly beautiful.

That's the only one I feel strongly enough to plead with you about.

How odd that my movie comment ended up under pie.

Well...I have seen Shawshank and Aguirre but I think I must have fallen asleep during the others.
I am very film ignorant.

Does it mention Wicker Man? I have definitely seen that.

Forest Gump definately pushed my buttons, and made me cry like a baby. But then, I've been known to cry reading christmas cards in Hallmark. So whaddaIkno.

Interesting list, I saw all but 14 of those movies.Lots of good ones on the list.

Braveheart is, and will always be a good, not great, but solidly good film.

Why would you only watch part of The Graduate? Just curious.

#7 and #46 are two of my very favorites.

I just watched No Country for Old Men. I totally hated it. My husband and I spent quite a bit of time looking at each other instead of the tv. ;) The guy in black was beyond creepy. I'm probably the only person who doesn't understand the title of it either.
