Registration is now closed.

Middle America will visit Tuvalu during the third week of July for a group blogging event.
Space is limited to three participants (hell, space is actually limited to ONE participant but we are going to make it work) and accommodations have been booked in the upstairs bedroom of the youngest child of the Bird family (who has graciously accepted the bribe of a video game and sleeping in a tent in the yard for a few nights).
Meals are included (unless we are at a restaurant and then attendees are ON THEIR OWN) and will be prepared by K under strict Tuvaluan specifications (lots of cheese, cream sauces, a wealth of wine, some seafood).
Day trips to be determined, but are promised to include thrifting, the beach, and jaunts into town.
Any activities including any form of exercise, other than traipsing along the beach looking for the perfect spot, are strictly a la carte, and must be arranged by the participants.

Ladies,

door

Tuvalu awaits you.

But wait...I'm not FROM Middle America.

Oh. I see.

Seriously, though - the beach, thrifting, K's meals? Sounds wonderful...you ladies will have a blast.

Argh, I can't believe I missed out. I propose that the '09 event be comprised of bloggers from south of the Mason Dixon line.

Hell, maybe I'll have my own damn event down here in Virginia. Instead of wines and cream sauces, there will be beer (on tap) and salsas. Instead of kicking teenage boys out to the yard, we will offer guests their choice of the pink or the purple bedrooms.

Could there be a follow up event for Bloggers from the other side of the pond? I could bring my own mint tea.

what about bloggers who USED to be from middle america but are now consigned to the hell of the desert southwest?

on another note, we'll be in dennisport this summer. maybe we can wave as we pass each other on rte 6.

Thrifting and lying on the beach are all very well, but what I would like to participate in is the cream, cheese, wine, seafood part. I would bring a suitcase full of good coffee and I would promise to do the kitchen clean-up for K...

How did I miss this post and only find it by reading Fluid Pudding?

This seems awfully circuitous. Especially since I'm one of the lucky 3.
