Hahahahaha! Last time Michiel went to Holland I had him HEMA bring potato knives and bed sheets. Do you know what HEMA means? Hollandsche Eenheidsprijzen Maatschappij. Throw that in Babelfish.

I thought the page's title "online winkelen" was cute. I'm guessing it means something like "online ordering," but this word "winkelen" combined with the English "online," it's just too much. But then, the page loads, and oh my goodness, this is just so amazing. I love whoever designed this page. TOO clever!

And, um, I know I'm SO out of the loop, but where does "woot" come from? I've seen it for a few years now, and I get the idea, but just don't understand where it came from and how it spread all over creation.
what a great website.

But I missed seeing a HEMA store whilst I was there. Which is probably a good thing.

Beautiful patron saints post. Just beautiful.

Have you found this one:

"El Hema" is an art project, it's an exhibition that pretends to be an arabic HEMA. With all kinds of islamified products. Like for example condoms. The street name for condom in Dutch is "kapotje", which finds its origin in the Arabic word for coat. Hence a condom with Arabic typography. And much more, enjoy. Site is in English. The HEMA officially approves of the show.
