What do you suppose it means when I get a call from a friend who'd like the phone number for my pal the psychic and then the doorbell rings and it's the Jehovah's Witnesses?
a ny jw: I have a nice relationship with the ladies that bring me things to read from the jw church. They love that I am a Unitarian and I respect that they are JWs.
You were nice to even answer the door. I always, always, always ignore the religious types outside. I'm not going to try to change them; I wish they'd respect me the same way.
the JWs who walked my previous neighborhood were so sweet; i was at home with my first baby and obviously an emotional wreck and they were just so sweet w/o being intrusive. they brought me their lit to read, but they also genuinely seemed to care how i was doing. i had some very interesting discussions re: religious matters with them, too; they were respectful and thoughtful.
but don't get me started on the Mormon boys who cruise this neighborhood. eesh. i know they're not all like that - my brother's best friend in high school was Mormon, but these particular guys are SO pushy.

My experience with JW's is that as soon as I tell them I'm Catholic they get a horrified look on their faces, tell me that I have been lied to, and that I will surely burn in hell. What's THAT all about?
