I can't remember how I happened upon your blog....hmmm....not sure. But as I am in love with pretty much any bird motif, I figured it was worth a try. And you are such a fun read....and GREAT sense of humor.

yo.

BB, What's protocol during delurking week? Do we delurk only for those who ask, or do it out of the goodwill of our heart. Because I don't know if I can take all the goodwilling stuff this week. Yeah, I'm bitter much.
i found your blog about a year ago after linking to it from "how was your day, dan?" and now i'm a straight-up, once a day, bb addict. whenever my husband and i have a baby discussion, i think of you and the pro-kid column gets a check mark. of course, we're sticking with dogs right now, but reading you makes me think that having kids could be a really great thing.

I read. but you already know that.

i'll admit it. i read every day. every day. and? i laugh. and wish we could be catty over, uh, tea.*

*if by "tea" you mean cheap wine with awesome labels.

Hi, I've commented here before, but I thought I'd wave hello and say keep doing the great work again. I love your blog. I'm such a fan-girl. I love your sense of style and wish it were my own, but alas it is not. I love it when you tell little stories about your daily life and share just a taste of the inner workings of your family life - just enough so we want more, much more even though we know we're not going to get it. Hey - what ever happened with Middle and the videography class? Does the teacher know who his dad is yet?
Blogger's not letting me sign in, so I have to post anonymously - www.shellykang.com

you've shamed me into appearing.

I've been reading for a while. I usually don't have anything intelligent to say.

Whacha got as a hostage over there? And what kinda ransom are we talkin about?

OK I admit it. I have been checking out your site for quite awhile. You always bring a smile or a hearty laugh!

My name is J and I am a lurker. And a fan. I found you via Dan as well and am very happy I did.

BB

I think I have been lurking for over a year. To steal a bite from Nora Ephron, you are a good read.

Hi BB. I enjoy your blog and your sense of humor. I can't remember how I found my way here a couple of months ago, but it's a daily read for me now.

Hi, I'm mckie2 or Susan in Austin or anon E mouse, if it won't let me be anybody else. Discovered your blog early last summer via Badger. Check in every day - first dooce, then Badger, then you. Then I know all is right with the world and I can continue with my day.

Not sure I like lurker - seems kind of perverted - like I'm a peeping Tom. I'm not. Honest. You all make me laugh - always a good way to start - or finish - the day. I enjoy your writing.
Miz S said…
Susan in Austin - you are confused.Let me help out. The correct order is: first, blackbird, then anyone else you are reading. And aren't we just a little tired of Dooce? Hmmmmmm?

delurking to say Hi! I read your blog every day and check for updates many times and love when you post more than once a day.

keep up the wonderful writing and great photos!

I haven't said Hi in a while which I guess makes me a bit of a lurker.

HI!

You know me too--very happily de-lurking almost daily!! Thanks for being you. We luff you, bb!

I read your blog a few times a week. I found you through my friend Emlyn.

Sorry for "lurking" - but I'm not much into commenting.

You have a great sense of humor - I loved the pic of the xanax - and the wine reviews.

So... I had to read all of the other de-lurker comments to see if I could make myself sound more intelligent. It didn't help so I will just say thank you. I love your site, your style, your kids and your mystery. Cheers!

Not QUITE a lurker, but I seldom comment... so consider me exposed.

Have I, like, saved a kitten by coming forward?

Ok, it's me, and I probably lurk more than I should! I'll be better, really!
And I'll start with the question...where on EARTH did you find decaf masala chai???mmmmmmmm

I'm here too, as you know.

(Love the wooden blinds. We had them in our first flat on both the lounge room and kitchen windows. Love love love and miss them).

I don't remember how I found you, either, but I love you.

howdy! i comment sometimes so i don't know that i qualify as a lurker. i don't remember how i found you but i'm glad i did!

Found you about 6 months ago - stopped blogging 6 weeks ago - my hubby found my blog - not as understanding as your K boy!
Anonymous said…
are those of us that blather on regularly meant to leave a comment too?

Happy New Year from stormy Scotland!

Yours was one of the first blogs I discovered, and still one of my favourites.
Anonymous said…
I have been known to comment. But mostly I'm a lurker.....so Hello from A Northern Irish woman in England!

Ok, I'm a lurker. I found your bog through JennyJ and I truly enjoy what you write.

I tried to leave a comment last night and it vanished. If it doesn't work today, then I'll know I just can't be de-lurked.

I'm not sure what a lurker is anyway, as opposed to a reader. Is it impolite to read a blog regularly and not "appear"? I have only lurkers on my site -- except when I quote from the poetry of e.e. cummings. And then everyone has something to say!

BB, you are quirky and clever and always fun to read.

Fine - I lurk! Don't hurt me!

I like you. You remind me of someone I know. Plus, you like Survivor. That's the mark of good people.
Anonymous said…
You know me, not a lurker but a luffer of your words.
dusty said…
I'm not a lurker, I leave commments.

Ummm, don't I? I *think* * I do...trying to remember. Or do I just leave comments for you on Miz S.'s blog?

No, I definitely left the comment about the Japanese glue.

I admit lurking, tho I have posted a few times. I am still gonna remain anoymous, I'm sorry. But for demographic purposes- I'm a late 30's, mid-western mother of 3 (ages 5-12) driving a 10 year old mini van.

My hubby reads you too and once said in my favorite tone of voice of his (he has a lot of different tones,) "she's funny" when talking about you.

Happy New Year and Joyous DeLurking Week!

Hello! I am a day late and a dollar short as always. I love your blog. If you look at your stats, I am the one from Japan, or should I say one of the ones from Japan!

I'm not sure how long I've been reading your blog...all I know is that whenever I'm feeling a little down or uninspired, I hop over here to feel better. Thank you!

Hello, My name is Heather and I'm a lurker.
My friend Erica told me about you a long time ago and now I read you almost every day.
I just like you okay! I think you're funny. I like your pictures. I don't comment because, well, we don't know each other and I don't translate well in words. I'm much better in person.
So if it's okay with you I'll continue to read and say nothing. But please know that I laugh out loud and smile and go away feeling happy almost every time I come here :)

Hi! I've commented before, so I don't know whether I qualify as a lurker.

Anyway, if the surf's up, feel free to enter my contest finding the most hideous '70s-era women's pantsuit. I describe it in this post.

I've commented before but I'll chime in here. I love your photographs, but your prose is excellent as well. Don't remember how I found you but it was probably a link in a knitting blog somewhere.
