Took Middle and Youngest to the pediatrician for their school check-ups. Middle weighs 94 pounds and is 5'3" - which puts him in the 12th percentile. Kinda skinny, sorta tall. He got a tetanus shot. He said he had forgotten what it felt like to get a shot and his arm is still a little sore.
Youngest is more of a 50th percentile kinda guy. I did notice, when he took his shirt off that his is getting that tall/thin/stretched out look too - and he's only 10. He needed a vision and hearing test and was very excited to be "allowed to use the button" to indicate which ear he was hearing a tone in. Apparently, when you are a little kid, they make you raise your hand whenever you hear a tone -he was thrilled to graduate to the button version of the test and did a charming demonstration for me of what is now required.

It is always good to hear that they are healthy children. I truly appreciate my pediatrician and was sad to hear that she is retiring at the end of this year. She has been a solid support through issues with Oldest and a never ending source of comfort, information and guidance with Youngest and his health problems.

There is so much I could write about her and how she has helped me -
I will miss her.
